Professional Experience Needed: The Lakeland Foundation in collaboration with other agencies has a Leave a Legacy program. Volunteers are needed to refine lists and make phone calls to professional organizations to schedule presentations. Good phone skills and organization skills a MUST. Call Cristen at ext. 201.

Meals on Wheels Volunteer drivers are needed for Eastlake, and Painesville Nutrition sites. Volunteer drivers deliver meals to homebound clients one day per week with a time commitment of 1 –1.5 hours.

Council on Aging is seeking shopper and socialization volunteers to grocery shop and socialize with homebound seniors in Eastlake and Wickliffe areas. Time commitment is 1 –1.5 hours per month.

Lifeline in Painesville is desperate for reception help with phones and filing in am, flexible scheduling.

James A Garfield Historic Home is having an Ice Cream Social on July 15 from 12-3 an needs volunteers to assist with crafts. If interested call RSVP before JULY 12.

You can help make a difference in your community by lending a hand at Lake Co.’s only homeless shelter, Project Hope. Help is needed to serve meals, ears to listen, and eyes to see someone in need. This only has to be a few hours per month. Daily hours start at 7 p.m.

The United Way of Lake County in Mentor has a need for receptionists M-F to answer phones, direct people, and transfer calls.

The Little Red School House in Willoughby next to Willoughby South High School, needs men and women to volunteer as teachers and aides on Mondays and Thursdays during the school year. A teacher supervises fourth graders in learning about real life in the 1900’s. Spending time in the farmhouse kitchen, learning about printing in the Schoolhouse print shop and sewing, spinning and the three R’s! Join Little Red School house for a great experience in volunteering.

Hospice of the Western Reserve is in need of volunteers to provide social visits to patients in facilities, respite care (to give caregivers a rest) and domestic tasks (light housekeeping, run errands, laundry, etc.) to patients in their private homes.
Lake Hospital System –WEST needs gift shop, information desk and patient room service volunteers. EAST needs transport volunteers. A TB test is required.

Join the Laketran Ambassadors program which is flexible around your schedule. Volunteers are needed—training provided.
Volunteer Visitors are needed to help monitor the 800 wards of the Lake County Probate Court. Volunteers will provide Probate Court with current and accurate information about the ward’s current living conditions. Neighboring is the agency that will do all volunteer training's and background checks. Visitation only required a few times per month.

We Care furniture donation program affiliated with Hope Ridge Church is in need of assistance with home pick-up and delivery to needy family homes. Times vary during the weekday, no weekend. Lifting and loading required

BABES script read puppet program in local elementary program promotes self-esteem, substance abuse awareness and other sensitive subjects at an age –appropriate level with puppets. New puppeteers are needed for January through May—won’t you consider this really fun volunteer opportunity? Programs are done on the same day and time each week with a group of 5 puppeteers.

A special needs High school socialization program is in need of volunteers 1x a month for 1.5 hours. The program starts in October and runs through May. Participation is a key—please contact the RSVP office to learn more.
